The pandemic of 2020 stopped many of us in our track of life, to question: What is happening?
What does this mean to me? How should I respond? Where are you, God?
As far back as I can remember I have turned upward to the sky to connect with our gracious
God and Savior for answers to life’s challenges.
Surrounded by silence and darkness, with the innocence of a baby lamb, the twinkle of a bright
star has the power to draw our eyes towards the heavenly realms where our Lord speaks
gently to our hearts, welcoming us into His Kingdom of Grace.
It reminds me of how the shepherds may have felt when they saw the Star of Bethlehem
beckoning them towards the nativity of Jesus, the deliverance of a Messiah.
Each year we prepare ourselves for the celebrated birth of our Messiah, Jesus, to remember
the blessed event that offers us salvation and peace in the midst of all struggles.
Are you struggling today in our world of turmoil? I am. Yet, every evening I look up to the skies
and find a light that soothes my soul.
Our Loving God, Creator and Savior sees all from above and knows the plans He has for each
    and every one of us.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon
me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you
seek me with all your heart.
Take the time to look up each night before you go to sleep in preparation for the next day. For,
He will rise with you, and carry you through any and every challenge you many face.
Matthew 6:25,26 NIV “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or
drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more
than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and
yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Tonight, take in the light of Christ as you prepare in the Advent season of Christmas 2020.
