The human race on death row:
What I want to do, I do not do,
But what I hate, I do.
I do what I do not want to do.
It is no longer I myself who do it.
It is evil within me,
Because of my stubbornness,
I am storing up wrath, against myself.
I feel like a prisoner.
I am a slave,
And the way of peace,
I do not know.
Who will rescue me
From this body of death?

My creation was subject to frustration
Not by my own choice,
But by the will
Of the one who subjected it,
In hope
That the creation itself
Would be liberated
From its bondage to decay
And brought into freedom
Of the children of God
For in this hope we are saved.
But hope that is seen
Is no hope at all.
Who hopes for what he already has?
But, if we hope
For what we do not yet have,
We wait for it patiently.
So we fix our eyes
Not on what is seen,
But on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary,
But what is unseen is eternal

No eye has seen,
No ear has heard,
No mind has conceived,
What God has prepared
For those who love him.
And we know that in all things,
God works for the good
Of those who love him,
For those who have been called
According to his purpose.
For he knows the plans
He has for you.
Plans to prosper you
And not harm you,
Plans to give you hope and a future.

Do not conform any longer
To the pattern of this world,
But be transformed
By the renewing of your mind.
Then, you will be able to see
God’s will for you.

The mind of sinful man is death,
But the mind controlled by the spirit
Is life and peace

So, dying to what once bound us,
We have been released
So that we serve in the new way
Through the spirit of life
Who sets us free
From sin and death.
The spirit helps us in our weakness.
You do not support the root,
But the root supports you.
Now the Lord is this spirit,
And where the spirit of the Lord is,
There is freedom.
Confess with your mouth,
“Jesus is Lord.”
And believe in your heart
That God raised him from the dead
You will be saved

Consequently,
Just as the result of one trespass
Was condemnation for all men,
So also the result of one act
Of righteousness
Was justification for all men.

There is no difference,
For all have sinned
And can equally be justified
By his grace.
God presented his son
As a sacrifice of atonement,
For those who have faith
In his blood.
Everyone who calls on
The name of the Lord
Will be saved
And richly blessed.

Put aside the deeds of darkness,
And put on the armor of light.
God will not let you be tempted
Beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted,
He will also provide a way out
So that you can stand up under it.

The weapons we fight with
Are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary,
They have divine power
To demolish strong holds
Power and authority
To build up rather than pull down.

I am not ashamed
because of the power of God.

Let us therefore
Make every effort
To do what leads to peace
And to mutual edification.
Live at peace with everyone
Do not repay anyone evil for evil
Overcome evil with good.
Live in harmony
And cling to what is good.

Everything is permissible
But not everything is beneficial
Everything is permissible
But not everything is constructive
Therefore,
You do not lack any spiritual gift
As you eagerly wait for our Lord
To be revealed.

He will keep you strong to the end,
So that you will be blameless
On the day of judgement.

God, who has called you
Into fellowship with his son,
Is faithful

For the message of the cross
Is foolishness
To those who are perishing,
But to us
Who are being saved,
It is the power of God.

Praise be to the God and Father
Of our Lord Jesus Christ,
The Father of compassion
And the God of all comfort,
Who comforts us
In all our troubles,
So that we can comfort those
In any trouble
With the comfort we ourselves
Have received from God.

For he is the Lord, your God,
Who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you,

DO NOT FEAR

I WILL HELP YOU
